Distance and bearing between two points
The measure tool answers how far and which way, and then gets out of the way. Nothing is saved.
Steps

Arm the tool
Map tab → the ruler icon in the left tool column. -
Tap two points
A line draws between them with the distance and bearing. -
Close it
Tap the ruler again, or the close button on the panel.
