How-To

Go To, and following a track

Two different jobs. Go To points at a destination and tells you how far and which way. Follow Track keeps you on a line someone already drove.

Steps

  1. Drop or pick a waypoint
Long-press the map to drop one, or open any saved place.
  2. Choose how to get there
Navigate Here gives a straight-line bearing. Drive Here routes on roads. Route Here (offline) routes on downloaded road data with no signal.
  3. Read the panel
Distance, bearing, speed made good and ETA, updating as you move.
  4. Or follow a track
Tracks → open one → Follow Track. It shows your position along the line, how far off it you are, and how much is left.

Worth knowing

  • Great circle or rhumb line is a setting — rhumb holds a constant bearing, which is what you want on the water.
